Athletes often need to get psyched up for big games. Different athletes have different ways of doing so. Some listen to specific music, others watch inspirational movies, and some teams go for swims in crocodile-infested waters.
Each of these methods has drawbacks; your I-pod might run out of batteries, for example. Or watching Rudy might cause issues for any diabetics on the team. Or you might exit the water with one fewer player than you entered with.

We want to win?
Check.
"Crocodile repellent?
Check.
Can everyone swim?
No.
