It is all about the court system

I have been on record for quite some time as saying our courts are ridiculous. They make bizarre, unsupportable rulings, they eschew logic and common sense. Sadly, we have also shown we are not as smart as the Germans.

When they have a ridiculous case, they take it with the appropriate seriousness:

"She finally burst into laughter when the two combatants started calling each other childish names including "smelly bum" and "donkey face" - and after five minutes had to abandon her post.
After a short pause she returned to the court and threw out the case.

In the US, they probably would have been awarded huge damages against each other for libel or slander. The egg fights would probably have seen arrests, charges for assault...

but no maturity. Seriously, how stupid do you have to be to engage in that sort of behavior? My thanks to the judge for taking a great course of action.
