How would you react if someone physically abused your spouse or loved one? When I say abused, I mean hammered, crippled, crushed, rendered physically unrecognizable? That is the problem faced by Eija-Riitta Berliner-Mauer.

When the Berlin Wall was torn down her husband was rendered unrecognizable. No, he was not crushed by falling debris or the joyous mob...no, Eija was married to the Berlin Wall.

Fortunately for Eija, who had, in her own words, a "full, loving relationship" with the Wall, size does matter...she just likes smaller rather than larger. Who would not agree the Berlin Wall was sexier than the Great Wall of China? I mean, sure, the Berlin Wall was a symbol of greed and hatred, of the Stalinist purges that killed millions of people, of the advent of the threat of nuclear war, whereas the Great Wall of China kept out barbaric invaders in the Mongol Horde...but it is not all about personality. Sometimes you have to take into account LOOKS.
