On the surface, that seems ridiculous. I have heard the broadcast, and by the standards of today it is not very realistic...but then again, the context has changed. Perhaps at the time it was cutting edge and DID sound realistic by their standards.
I guess you have to account for your audience. Or you could be like the idiotic "special needs" teacher who decided pretending to be abducted by aliens was a good idea...
So let me get this straight. You teach autistic children (among others) and think portraying a realistic scene of your abduction is a good idea? I am going to go out on a limb here and say the kids aren't the only ones in that scenario that need education.
