It was a pretty good weekend. After burning out my legs riding to and from work, watching The Incredible Hulk, playing a bit of poker, mowing the lawn and so forth, all I had to do was clean up after the dog. The mathematics of that completely elude me, by the way. She weighs like 7 pounds, I fed her only 3/4 cup of food...about 1/8th less than recommended, so no huge amount...and I swear I picked up 10 pounds of poop.
Anyway, part of the yard work had to do with some Roundup. I am trying to clear out hard to know patches. I tried Roundup once before and it did not have the desired effect. I mean, it wasn't as bad as the time I burned down the bbq or all but wrecked the bathtub...okay, so that one was pretty stupid. I tend to do it wrong when I deal with nuisances around the house.
So when we got ants not too long ago, I did not mess around. We called Terminix and let them handle it. After all, based on the bathtub incident, one suspects my response to the ants would be to use gallon after gallon after gallon of insecticide. Would I pour it in the ventilation shaft of an apartment complex? Hopefully not. If I did...would I drop a burning towel down the shaft to see why the ants weren't going away?
I think I am going to have to plead the fifth on this one. I mean, sure, burning down metal bbqs is all well and good...but wiping out an entire block? Marcin Bartosz, I am humbled by your wisdom.
