I am proud to be from Oregon

For the most part I love living in Oregon. When it gets "hot" the definition of "hot" is laughable to anyone who has experienced true heat; I will admit to whining about 80 degree days. There was not one day under 100 when we were in Phoenix last week. Then again, when it reaches 40 degrees people complain about the cold. Uh...40 is not cold enough for snow, peeps, much less comparing to the sub-zero temps much of the nation is often subjected to. But the mild weather is a strong pull for me.

I also like the lack of lethal animals. I don't have to worry about black widows or rattlesnakes or what have you...our fiercest animals, if the school mascots are any indication, are Ducks and Beavers. Oooh, scary. Speaking of the Beavers, they are from a school in Corvallis. You remember Corvallis, right? The place where the kid made such a habit of raping a horse that the horse's owners finally installed a camera and filmed him doing it?

But as sad as that is...what is he thinking to decide to repeatedly pound it on a horse? even worse is one of the charges; burglary?

What did he steal, the mare's virginity?
