That's McCrazy!

McDonalds is feeling insulted...or rather, they feel their employees are being insulted. And they are going to do something about it. I know, I know...their employees spend hours working close to minimum wage dispensing grease splatters so bland and unoriginal* their flavor must be drowned by mountains of ketchup and salt. How can you insult people who do that for a living?

By labeling their "career choice" a McJob. McDonalds has had enough and they aren't going to take it anymore.

The Oxford English Dictionary describes a McJob as "an unstimulating low-paid job with few prospects".
But McDonald's says this definition is now "out of date and insulting", reports the BBC.
It claims a survey found that 69% of the UK population agree it needs updating.

Let me help you out with an updated definition: "an unstimulating low-paid job with no prospects."

No need to thank me, this update is done as a public service announcement. But that is not the worst part of the McPetition to Mcchange the Mcdefinition.

McDonald's says that in its staff surveys, 90% of employees agree they are given valuable training that will be of benefit for the rest of their working lives.

Let's examine those benefits, shall we? Mcjobbers learn how to say many, many useful things:
"Would you like fries with that?"
"Would you like that supersized?"
"Look! It is Ronald McDonald!"

They also learn how to press buttons, oversalt fries, sing the Quarter pounder song and, in many U.S. McDonalds, speak Spanish. They also learn how to treat an order of hamburgers with the approximate level of desperation previously only seen on ER when a train crashes.
