I suppose she is not the first person to find her views on marriage changed by an external event. It is no big secret that events surrounding Greg's funeral, as one example, were a key component in moving me from butt-head to engaged. Seeing how events affect others can effect many changes. The real question is how long you should wait to find something that "puts things in perspective"...should it be 2 or 3 years, like in my case? Or is Hilda closer to the right time with her 49 year, 9 kid, 22 grandchild, and 25 great-grandchild thinking period?
