One way of dealing with aggression

There was no warning, no build-up, no saber rattling. The attack came with no notice whatsoever. And before there was time to mobilize a reaction, it was over. The defense was successful and all returned to as it was before.

Yes, I am talking about open hostilites, an act of aggression technically as aggriegous as the invasion of Luxembourg by British and French troops (and later German) in World War I, although in this case the response was even less Tigerish than the token resistance offered at that time.

Mostly because nobody in Liechtenstein noticed the Swiss had invaded...nor would their non-existent army have fared well against 170 men armed with assault rifles but no ammunition.

Seems a patrol got lost and made it about a mile into Liechtenstein. They figured out they were in the wrong place and made a beeline for home. Thus World War III was averted. What a relief!
