There have been many interesting statues. Like the one in Philadelphia commemorating a fictional character created and played by Sylvester Stallone. Who WOULDN'T be impressed by that? Or the one in Arlington commemorating...well...someone. No telling who since he could not be identified but at least we have a way to honor those who fell in battle even if they aren't important enough for us to bother figuring out their names.
And now Amsterdam is bringing to light a statue to honor another overlooked group....that's right, they are building a monument "to honour prostitutes around the world". Hard to believe it took a place with legalized marijuana to come up with an idea that good. Thanks for nothing, Amsterdam, you've done it again.

Honor them with marijuana, perhaps?
As I understand it, marijuana actually isn't legal in Amsterdam. They just don't really enforce it. Kind of like the law here says that if the sign says 55 and you are going 60 you are breaking the law, but you will never get a ticket if you aren't going at least 61 in that 55.
