On your way home from the supermarket,

Could you pick me up a life? I got some news today most people would be very excited about. I have been at my job for the requisite 5 years apparently and so now I get 3 weeks vacation instead of two. Well, 3 weeks and the bonus day, so 16 days to go with all the holidays. Uhm...yay?
Last year was great. no doubt you, my beloved and faithful readers wish I would shut up about my lovely weeks in Mexico, but that vacation was very nice. Had a great time, used all of 6, count em 6 days of vacation to take those 2 + weeks off. I also used a couple days to study for finals last year and I think one to write a paper.
I still have 2 day of last years vacation I have to use before the end of the year. I am taking Monday the 30th off, not because I have anything planned...I don't...but because I feel like I am missing out on something important by not taking every day I am "owed". Whatever. I don't really want to take it off. At least, not unless something comes up and I actually DO something with it.
So here I am complaining about having three weeks. Sure, during August we are doing that family camping trip with Deb, Gabe, Spiggyman, Krazy, Stanica, etc....and I look forward to that. There are 5 days down. I looked at the claendar today trying to figure out how to ditch another 11 days. I guess I am pathetic because I coule not even come up with one.
Well, maybe I could take 2 in March. March 4th and 5th are the Ashland Chocolate Festival. mmmmmmmm chocolate. I suppose I could take the Friday before for "driving time" and the Monday after. That would be exciting. Or next term I could sign up for a day class and take that day off for 11 consecutive weeks. That would be a good use...
See my point? Great. I have v-time. I just have...aboslutely nothing...that does not feel like I am wasting what should be the most special times of the year. Save me!
