It must be the worst feeling in the world. There you are, cruising along at a comfortable 64 MPH (in a 55) when it happens. Someone pulls in front of you doing only 63. What are they thinking? Jerks.
Now, you have an hour to make a 10 minute drive, so in the great scheme of things, it does not really matter. However, being a "red-blooded American", which naturally makes you freakish anyway...blood is naturally blue until it combines with oxygen, so if your blood is already red then you have hemmorhoids or something, and should probably stop reading this and go get that checked out...well, you get upset.
Not that someone is in front of you. Why, if there was another car in front of him, what difference? BUT THERE ISN'T! All he has adhead of him is empty road space!
So naturally, we, as U.S. drivers, must start trying a way to pass the poky little 63 MPH puppy and climb back to 64 MPH lest we lose 30 seconds getting to our destination.
We hate empty space.

I always loved dad trying to get us to hurry when we were leaving for Park Creek (near Sacramento, California) or Coos Bay when I am sitting here thinking "this place is 6 or more hours away, what difference is it going to make if we are 10 minutes late getting out of here?" Oh, and if you don't have some red blood in you then you are probably drowning... maybe you should correct that before you... you know... die :P
