It is hard being a redneck

I was driving home from work today and saw not one, not two, but three cars by the side of the road with their hoods up. You probably know that having the hood up is an international signal for distress. Seeing an upraised hood lets you know the vehicle is broken down and the driver is requesting help. That must be hard on rednecks. Imagine you are driving your high-rise 4x4 rusted out pick-up with a rifle rack but no tail gate when your rig breaks down. You pull the ladder out of the bed, go to cliimb up in front to give out the distress signal when it occurs to you; how can you raise the hood when you ain't got one?
