Old Age is Creeping Up behind you...never mind, it just passed you

When I go to the gym I cannot always get the same locker so I use the tried and true method of knowing which row I store stuff in and then picking a locker number that has some significance.

It might be 37 (3 sevens...anniversary date) or 25 (the number Jerome Kersey wore as a Blazer) or something along that line.

Today I was in the row with the 70s. So I went to use my birth year as my memory key. I started to put my gear in locker 70. Stopped. Paused. Took it out, started to put it in 71. Back to 70. Back to 71...

They say loss of memory is a sign of old age. Not remembering what year I am born has elements that suggest a loss of memory...

Either that or you are in denial ;) The year I turned 34 I kept thinking I was still 33.

For years I had this problem, which started manifesting itself when I was working at the library with old newspapers.

With great frequency, I would often forget what day and year it was, simply because I was working with newspapers anywhere from 75 to 150+ years old.

I have been in denial for years. I used to tell people I was a couple years older than I actually am. Guess that backfired...

Yeah, looking at old stories and dates will screw up your time equilibrium for sure
