The accident occurred in a construction zone. She was stopped, a lady doing 60 smashed into Deb's car, careened off and demolished a second.
Deb has serious muscle/nerve damage and will be off work a minimum of two months, possibly longer. She already had some back/spine issues and this will only exacerbate them I am sure. She is discouraged but otherwise in decent spirits.
Every so often, I get a wild hair to do something I think is funny. Case in point; Once, back in the early 90s, a group of us was rolling up Highway 30 to go to Seaside, the semi-local excuse for a beach. We stopped along the way at a road-side station.
Since among the travelers were a few out-of-town visitors, we had a lot of cameras along with us, so I grabbed my friend Billy, another friend with a camera, and we went and stood next to the road striking a pose. What pose, you ask?
This one. And yes, we were directly in front of a sign like the one on the far left. Of course, we did not have a rifle or walking stick to lean on, so it was just one guy pointing and one guy standing with his hands under his chin.
Yes, we think we are funny.
No, we probably aren't. Deal with it :-)

Ooh! I think Rabies needs to go on a road trip with the kids and I, where we take turns striking that pose at famous local attractions. The Paul Bunyon statue in NoPo, the formerly worlds largest giant Sitka Spruce that now lies in pieces.... Portlandia.
Rockin idea!!
Hey! That is funny!
And I am sorry to hear about Deb. Sending her lots of good thoughts.
yes.. you guys do think you are funny... and yes, we deal with it. :) I think I have actually seen that picture you are talking about.
