I don't see any way this could go wrong

It all seemed like such a clever plan. And after all, he deserved it. 

I know, you are confused. Let me back up a little bit. Police arrested Donna J. Duell just because of a little disagreement she had with her ex-boyfriend. Hardly seems fair, you know?

Seems Donna and a party to remain nameless were in the process of breaking up. It was, in her own words, a "bitter domestic dispute". 

Now, there are a lot of ways to handle bitter domestic disputes. 

1) You can hurl a potato at the offender. 

2) You can hurl a microwave at them. 

3) You can ram her car to show her you love her...well, attempt to, anyway, even if you miss by a few miles and wrong person...

4) You can always divorce because you are embarrassed about her role in a movie. 

All fine choices, among others. There are so many examples of guys who, knowing they had to "split" the house, literally did...taking chainsaws to them to split them in half. I also know of at least 2 instances where guys, knowing they had to sell their domiciles and end up with "only" 2 or 3 million dollars, instead decided to blow up the houses. With themselves inside.

Obviously, there are a lot of good choices for dealing with the emotional distress that comes from ending relationships. 

Comparatively speaking, Donna was quite reserved. So I think it is just a little bit unfair that she is going to jail just for setting his clothes on fire. Or does it have something to do he was keeping them in a storage unit and she ended up burning that down, too?
