Congrats, Goose

The Goose has been very patient. Her vehicle has had issues for a while. The speedometer did not work, for example. The minions at Circuit City broke her center console while installing a stereo to replace the one that was stolen. When they "fixed" the center console they did not attach the cupholders (and yes, for the Goose that is key...she uses her cupholders multiple times per day). When they were strong-armed into correcting that one, they did not install them correctly. We ended up having to have it done by an auto dealership. And that did not go especially smoothly either as they kept ordering the wrong parts...like, blakc leather parts to go in a brown suede interior. Nice. But wrong. The cupholders never have worked right since then, you pretty much have to hold the cup in it which is pretty counterproductive to the point of a cupholder in the first place. Anyway, then her brakes started to go. Somewhere along the line the car developed a leak which lead to...well..some aromas that might not be classified as pleasant.

I wanted her to drive the Mustang but she still has not mastered the stick shift.

Well, yesterday on her way to work there were car issues regarding the brakes that rendered it borderline unsafe. So she did some research and, as of last night, is the proud new owner of her first ever new car...a fuel-efficient hybrid Honda Civic.

It was pretty cool seeing how excited she was...even this morning...at owning her first new car. I am extremely happy for her as I know she has been unhappy with the old rig for a while.

And we have a good destination for it...we intend to donate it, probably to liver disease research, though the final selection of charity has not been made yet. So everybody wins.

And I hope someday I can be as excited about stuff as she is about this...that is one of the things I love a lot about her, she really, really knows how to show her excitement and enjoyment of things. And that will never cease being cool!

Cool! I'm glad to hear she still exists - I haven't heard from her at all lately!
