Though it's been said many times, many ways, Merry Christmas

I am sure you recognize the post title from the song as the soothing tones sing, "Though it's been said many times, many ways...Merry Christmas to you". And the sentiment is a good one.

After all, how complicated does a "Merry Christmas" have to be? You don't need to yodel it, spell it in Austrian, or even sublimate it to too much political correctness with a Happy Holidays type thing. No, all you need to do to express the concept of "Peace on earth, good will towards men, and have a pleasant day" is tell someone "Merry Christmas" and they know what you mean...

And you can always tell the people who are into the Holiday Spirit the most. They are the ones who are all bright and cheery with lights on their rafters, trees in their front window, decorations in their yard, and a gun to shoot you with if you damage their decorations.

Maybe Santa will change his tune from "Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year" to "Bang Bang Bang and have a safe trip to the hospital with those bullets in your abs".
