A question for Hillary

There are a lot of reasons to question the wisdom of electing Hillary Clinton to the office of President. Certainly, her integrity is one of them...Whitewater is not just a recent political name with water in the title, for example...her policies seem destructive, counterproductive and regressive.

But planting a question in an audience? Seriously? How is that a scandal. I am willing to lay 10 - 1 odds that if you did the research, that is a long-practiced "subterfuge". Seriously, you hear so many softballs lobbed up there for every candidate that they just happen to have a brilliantly prepared response to that if you believe that is not a long ongoing practice...well, I am not convinced you should be voting.
.
I love some of these quotes:

"Personally I want to know that I have someone who's honest representing me."

Uh...you do realize this is a politician you are speaking about, right? They make their living on being disingenuous. The only building where more criminals congregate in one place than the U.S. Congress is the Federal Penitentiary. Honesty is not their strong suit. Hillary or any other.

"As a young person, I'm worried about the long-term effects of global warming. How does your plan combat climate change?"

What, when you are NOT a young person you will not be worried about it? (This, by the way, is the question she was told to ask). Oh, and by the way...who decided the climate as it presently is has become the perfect climate? Because, you know, man has such a brilliant record when he chooses to realign nature. Fish species are destroyed, forests destroyed, land becomes fallow and so forth. Check it out, what the modifications to the environment have done so far and whether it has been beneficial or harmful in the average "protection" attempts. The answer is almost guaranteed to surprise you. So why would anyone think Clint, Obama, Thompson, Giuliani, Romney, or any other politician...not a trained scientist or climatologist, but a lawyer or actor or...well, you get the point...why would you think they would have the right plan?

Free memo to all politicians: here is your best plan. "I would set up an independent, non-partisan team of the best scientists I could gather to research and suggest a plan of action. Then I would push that plan to success against all political obstacles." Leave it to people who know what they are doing. I know, I know, such radical, insane thinking has no place in politics. But there you have it.

She said the "head of publicity for the campaign," a man whose name she could not recall, had no factual disputes with the story. But, she added, a Clinton intern spoke to her to say the campaign requests she "not talk about" the story to any more media outlets and that if she did she should inform a staffer.

I am willing to bet anti-censorship is or will be one plank of the Clinton platform. Good stuff.

The question and answer sessions -- especially in Iowa-- are really important. That's where the voters get to ... have like a real genuine conversation with this politician who could be representing them."

This is a statement so ludicrous as to defy belief. Anyone who believes they EVER have a "genuine" conversation with any politician...well, not to sound cynical, but you either belong in the nuthouse or else in my office as I sell you some prime oceanfront property at an unbelievably (not) low price. If you don't come see me today I can't scam away your money.

Seriously. As you can probably tell, it will be a cold, cold day in the Sahara Desert before I cast a vote for Clinton. But keep the criticisms realistic, believable and honest. There is no need to sink to her level.

I have watched her transformation from someone (in 1991) who seemed to honestly want healthcare and education for all into a machine politician. Gag. I can't fucking stand her.
