I always wonder what goes through people's minds when they steal stuff. Like, apartments...why steal the light bulbs? Seriously, you can get a 4-pack at the Dollar Tree for a buck and it isn't as if they don't last 4 or 5 months at least. Why steal them?
Or the furniture from motel rooms. On the Simpsons this season there was an episode where Homer and Marge are staying at a motel and he picks up a remote. "Hey," he exclaims in surprise, "this isn't nailed down. This is the first time a motel has ever trusted me!" and then proceeds to lock it in his suitcase. Later he thinks Marge will leave him so he is crying and packing his suitcase...with a blender, the alarm clock, a lamp...
It is an interesting point. Why steal furniture from a motel? It isn't as if they will have no clues as to who ripped them off. Uh...you DID have to show idea to get the room, correct? So they already have a head start on tracking you down. Even worse, who wants to spend prison time for ripping off the high-quality motel furniture? I mean, I can understand the point if the furniture you steal is imaginary and only exists online....
