Maybe I am just callous

I know funerals are sad times. And people sometimes make strange requests.

I have heard of people wanting to be buried with photos, cherished items, even a favorite car. And people try to honor those requests.

So I guess it would be no shock someone would want to be buried with a cell phone. That was the wish of Arso Banjeglav. Since he spent so much time ON the phone while alive, he wanted to spend his decaying years WITH the phone.

you know, decaying years...like, when you get old and have a hard time eating, drinking, sleeping, or walking, those are your declining years...but after you are dead, your body starts rotting away, those are your decaying years.

Of course, in Arso's case, not all went smoothly. Seems a kid was playing with the phone while waiting for them to throw Arso in the box and ripped the SIM card. Well, if you know anything about cell phones, you know there is no way it can function without the SIM card.

This brings up a couple questions. First off, once old Arso's ticker stopped keeping time, if his wish was to be buried with his phone...why would his grand kid be playing with it? How did he get a hold of it?

And second...and this is the biggie...why do they feel compelled to dig up Arso and put the SIM card in the phone? Are they waiting for his daily call?
