Well worth 3 minutes of your life

This video actually needs a bit of set-up. It is part of the Jack Benny show. Jack had a character that was difficult to play...he was supposed to be so cheap he had trained the Buffalos on Buffalo nickels to roll back to him...unbelievably cowardly...vain...and easily frustrated...yet somehow goodhearted and beloved by all who knew him.

The other primary actor here is Mel Blanc. You remember Mel...he was the voice of Bugs Bunny, Yosemite Sam, Sylvester, Foghorn Leghorn, etc., etc., etc. He was called the man of a thousand voices.

The routine they do had several permutations. This is a short one and not the best one...but still worth watching.





In one episode Sy was a magician. His sister was Sue and the dialogue went something like this:
You have a sister?
Si.
What is your sister's name.
Sue.
Sue?
Si.
And your sister is in your act?
Si.
What does she do?
Saw.
Saw?
Si.

And so forth. Thanks to Jack Benny and Mel Blanc for years of laughter.
