They walk among us

There are a lot of stupid excuses for disabilities. Take, for instance, the idiot who somehow wangled disability benefits that pay for concert tickets, force other people to listen to his music, pay him to be in a band because his obssession with metal rock is now a disability... the real disability is the government whack-job that let that one get by him.

Of course, that nonsense pales in comparison to Jens Lorek. Just for comparison purposes, Lorek defends people such as Paul Hoffman. Hoffman is an apprentice shaman...for aliens. His outlandish behavior caused police to put him in a psychiatric ward. Lorek objects to that...strenuously.

He has brought a lawsuit against the city in which he places the blame for his client's behaviour on "things unknown".
"There are no legal grounds to put somebody in a psychiatric hospital because he was a victim of aliens," said Lorek.
"The state is socially responsible, even for alien shamans, if they cannot protect them from abduction."
He went on: "Aliens stick needles in their victims' genitals and interfere with their organs. Since 1961 there have been tens of thousands of alien abductions."

Allow me to point out...these are the statemtments of the guy who is supposed to be the sane member of the defense team....it is, however, good to know that to justify whatever behavior I wish to justify, all I have to do is say i was abducted by aliens. There are no legal grounds to prosecute me, apparently.

Good to see there is a replacement for the insanity defense...

These are unbelievable.

How about an obsessed with chicken posts on CL disability? Is that out of the question?
