You can't shoe-horn everyone into the same gear

I find many things appalling about footwear. The people here in our state who in the last few years have picked up the habit of wearing socks with their sandals. Whatever. The people who hurt MY feet just from observing the height of the heels they are wearing. The people who think traveling the subway in London would be enhanced if their boots allowed them to hang, bat-like, from the hand-holds...
