There is something fishy about this...

Sometimes we forget we are still a superstitious people. There is a belief that science can explain everything (even though we still have body parts that are not clearly understood, etc.) and that people who rely on good luck charms are somehow uneducated.

Yet athletes are notoriously superstitious...Wade Boggs had specific meals for Mondays, Tuesdays, etc. because he believed it helped him hit better, others won't step on the chalk lines because that is bad luck, etc. Stories abound of unwashed clothes lest the cleansing of them also remove the dirt.

People carry lucky rabbits feet with them (typically without bothering to think about how lucky it was for Hoppy, the 3 footed rabbit...) for luck.

Restaurants purchase fish for 75K for luck....
