Rustling 101

"I'd have gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for you meddling kids." For 10 points, how often was that phrase or a close approximation thereof heard on the Scooby Doo shows? You always need a meddler to solve cases.

For instance, assume you are a criminal. A very smart one. You are going to steal some cows but you know their hoofprints could be tracked. "AHA!" you think. "I shall mask the trail by putting boots on the cows so they look like people tracks. Sure, four legged boot wearing people are not super-common, but whatever. My plan shall work."

So you put your plan into action. You show up at the widders place, boot up her cows and take them away. Your plan works to perfection. The only clue the police have is people footprints leading away. Well, those and the pig hooves prints after the pig followed them all the way home, leading to their capture...

Too bad. They would have gotten away with it if not for that meddling pig.
