Homer Simpson would be proud

As any Simpsons fan could tell you how much Homer loves his beer. In the classic April Fools Day war episode he reveals his love to the crafty Bart, listening around the corner; "Ah, beer. My one weakness...one could almost say my Achilles Heel. Had that can been shaken up just a little bit more I would have looked quite the fool...the April Fool, as it were."

Yes, Homer loves his beer. One can only imagine, then, how much more someone would have to love their beer to invent an automatic beer launcher so they could retrieve a beer without wasting the calories to rise from their seat.

This quote, however, suggests this intrepid pioneer does not quite comprehend the intricacies of beer-fueled motor skills:

"There is a slight danger of being hit in the head with a flying can but this danger decreases the more you use it."

Now, far be it from me to argue with the inventor...but the day a drunk is more capable of mildly athletic endeavors than someone stone cold sober is the day I quit golf and take up bowling.

for those not in the know, that last line was meant to be a joke since in both golf and bowling, many people play better as libations flow since they relax and the key to both of those...sports...is relaxation.

Anyone who loves beer that much deserves to be hit in the head with it!
