Fool me once, shame on you; bite me several times, there will be trouble

Dogs are sometimes very protective of their territory. Occasionally cats are too. Take, for example, the cat that put a 60 year old woman in the hospital because of her treatment of the cat. What did she do wrong, you ask?

Oh, you didn't? Well, never mind. I don't need to write this I guess.

What? Yes you...you in the back. I see your hand. Question?

Okay, since you want to know what happened, I will share. Seems this 60 year old woman answered the door. And there was a neighbor with a cat in her arms she thought belonged to our heroine. Who was promptly bitten 20+ times by her cat for this affrontery. And when I say bitten I mean she ended up in the hospital.

In a supreme act of cruelty (read the word "cruelty" as "finally being smart about it") the woman is putting the cat in the shelter since "...that’s not the first time she’s been attacked."

Now, call me crazy, but I am not sure I would wait for my cat/dog/rabies carrying albino squirrel with rabid ticks to put me in the hospital before I decided being attacked by what is ostensibly my pet was reason to get rid of it. But maybe I am just overreacting...
