Thanksgiving 600

Just a little point of reference...this is my 600th post. And it comes on Thanksgiving.
I have a lot of things to be thankful for. I have an incredible family that I appreciate a great deal. Spent a very pleasant day eating, chatting, playing cards. Good times.
I have great friends, too. Friends I appreciate and enjoy a variety of activities with. Friends who have introduced me to everything from Eddie Izzard...cake, or death...to the joys of slow pitch softball.
I have a new niece, named partially for my departed mother...and the continuing benefits of the guidance Mom gave when she was still with us.
And I have an incredible fiance who means more to me than I can express in words...I am extremely thankful to have pulled my head out of my posterior and talked to her about things so that whereas a year ago we might have been just friends but I find it inconceivable that we will ever again be anything other than best friends and great spouses.
And last...and perhaps even least...I am thankful to live in the greatest country on earth where there is more freedom than any other country experiences, more opportunity than any other country expereinces, and simply the best place on earth to be. The U.S. isn't perfect, but at least the problems are in pursuit of a better life for everyone and though that doesn't always work...and isn't even possible...it is more possible and more likely here than anywhere else on earth.
Have a great Thanksgiving and I will catch you on the flip side.

Awwwwwwww!

I hope I fall under the category of "friends who have introduced you to Eddie Izzard," as opposed to "flaming liberal pain in the ass.:

Would you like a spanking?
