P.T.S.S.

I assume it is a common malady...Post Thanksgiving Stress Syndrome. Essentially you follow up a nice long theoretically relaxing holiday period hopefully spent with family and/or friends full of good food, good times, good fellowship and then BOOM! Monday comes and reality smurf-slaps you in the face.
The first day back at work reminds you of how pathetic people can be. Suddenly you remember why people look forward to retirement. And it doesn't take long...one or two interactions that remind you of what it means to be at work.
I suspect there are a lot of day to day stresses that people normally overlook. Then every now and again you get a break for them and when you come back and they are new again...and therefore irritating because you are aware of them. If they were still pushed to the back of your mind you would not be irritated by them.
Almost makes you wish you never had the long break in the first place....

Just kidding. The word almost should be removed from the prior line.

just kidding again. The words "long break" should be removed and the word "job" inserted in it's place.

Maybe people will stop "going postal" and start going "PTSS"...
