Friday the 13th

People are so superstitious. Today being the 13th means many people assume something bad will be happening. Actually, it sort of already has...the fact that such people exist sort of indicates someone who should not have procreated already did so and there is the result; some moron who thinks because a specific day of the week has a particular number something bad will happen.
News flash; if you are a klutz you are as likely to stumble and stub your toe on Tuesday the 21st as you are on Friday the 1st or Saturday the 14th. It is just a day. We assign the meaning to days and to some extent numbers. Why is the 13th only unlucky if it falls on a Friday? Why isn't it unlucky on a Monday? Mondays suck anyway, why not suddenly develop a superstitious, irrational and pointless fear of Monday the 13ths? It would make just as much sense.
Perhaps you have read or heard someone talking about elevators having no floor 13 because it is unlucky. Again...stupid superstition. What, did they build a ghost floor? Is there an empty floor just sitting there, empty space they built entirely so people could go from the 12th to the 14th floor without hitting unlucky 13? Or is it really the 13th floor under another name? Oh, clever you...avoiding unlucky 13 by telling it that it is really 14...13 will never see that one coming! You sure pulled one over on ol' number 13 you sly fox you. Well done.
I would write more but I don't want to try my luck by writing malicious stuff about an unlucky day on that day. A guy could get hurt that way!
