Stuttering isn't f-f-funny and neither is recycling

At work we, in an attempt to be good corporate citizens, use recycled paper. This is in addition to many other programs every desk and several other locations have bins specifically for paper recycling, many of us use the back side of once-used paper in our printers and so forth. Recently we switched to recycled paper notebooks. Good for us. And that is the source of this rant.
Forget the fact recycling paper is reported to take more energy and resources than making fresh paper. Forget the fact that either way you go, numerous trees are dying so we can use paper. This isn't about that. It is about quality.
The whole point of recycling is to make life better qualitatively by reusing the same resources, therefore precluding the need to use other resources, thus improving air quality (more, older trees), scenery (fewer clearings of brush, more areas with trees) and so forth.
Too bad the paper smurfs so bad. This is the first of those notebooks I have used and I cannot put into words how much I hate this notebook. I don't even know where to start.
The paper is so...soft, I guess would be the word...that every page has bleed-through. I use both sides to minimize paper usage and this often makes it difficult to read my notes when there is a big ink blotch in the middle of what SHOULD be a fresh, brand new page. Then again...half the time I can't read my notes because the paper is so soft the pen rips right through the page.
Recycled paper, go to New Jersey. I don't want you here. I will, however, gladly deposit some of my own recycling on you.

I am a huge fan of recycled materials being used to rap food. I mean, what's better than using what used to be a slightly used kleenex to rap that already extra healthy hamburger in? Or that old engine oil box to carry some fries? I'm sure they have some sort of sanitation process, but just the idea of it is revolting.
