He wrote a piece about Scopalamin, a truth serum. Now, I am not well enough educated on the matter to know if any of the truth serums ever invented have any use or not. However, his last two lines were classics:
"It would ruin the very foundation on which Political Government is run. If you ever injected truth into politics you have no politics."
Insightful...and too sad it is true.

There is no real "truth" serum. All they have is drugs that basically have the same effect as alcohol. They impair your judgment which makes you more inclined to talk, and when you talk, you have to be thinking in order to lie.
