Proud women and cheap cotlets

The other day I needed to pick up some trash bags so I stopped by the Dollar Tree on my way home from school. On my way back out I saw a woman park next to my car in her mini-monster SUV piece of smurf. This was intriguing since I parked around a half block from the store and there were about 10 empty spaces closer...
So this middle age woman hops out of her trendy SUV that has probably never seen any offroading and seems to have two primary purposes...1, to block the vision of those of us NOT driving school buses and 2) to serve as a status symbol showing she can afford 500 bucks a month in gas...
She is trying to look athletic and toned in her warm up suit...sadly, velour SHOWS curves, not hides them...and when those curves are below the breast but above the buttocks and don't exactly remind one of pregnancy, the effect of "seeming athletic" is kind of lost.
Anyway, she looks around, notices me walking towards my car, so she heads off at a sharp angle as if she is going to the tanning store which is about three or four store fronts down. Uhm, okay. Then why did you move your sunblocker next tom mine when there are numerous spaces closer to the tanning salon? And why park right next to me when I deliberately left several spaces open closer to the stores?
Well, she reached the sidewalk, looked around, and shifted direction...coming BACK a store to go into the dollar tree.
Now, it is entirely possible I misread the situation, but everything I saw about her struck me as saying one thing..."I have money. You probably don't. I am a good person. You are crap." And it struck me as if she did not want people to know she went to the (insert disgusted voice sound here) DOllar Tree. Heaven forfend she should need...or even WANT...a discount!
Seriously...that is pretty stupid. There is no shame in making wise choices with your money. Why spend 5 bucks for a couple candles when you can spend a buck each? Why spend 29.95 for a greeting card when you can get on for 50 cents? And yes, I have found the same ones here as I do at Hallmark.
No, she is too proud to admit she does not mind saving money. I don't wish for much in life, but this I hope and pray...I hope I never again spend time around someone who is driven by labels, appearances, and the need for money.
