so things have been crazy at work...

yesterday, for example, put in a shade over 14 hours. Would not have been bad, EXCEPT...

WELL, STARTED WHEN IT CAME TIME FOR LUNCH" ABOUT 8:30. sorry about the caps but this is on about 2 hours sleep in over 2 days, so deal with it.

Went to a local fast food establishment to pick up food for myself, the fellow closer, and a guy staying late to help us. This is where things start to go south.

See, I was really hungry. Had not eaten since about noon and that had been a light lunch. SO I was hungry.

Unfortunately, said fast food establishment was not having one of their better days. Both Moe and I order our sandwiches special. He doesn't like lettuce. I dislike lettuce and DESPISE mayonnaise. We both wanted cheese.

SO he ordered 2 chicken sandwiches with cheese added but no lettuce. I ordered 2 chicken sandwiches plain but with cheese added. He specifically asked if I wanted just the bun, meat and cheese to which I assented.

So we got:
2  with mayo, lettuce and cheese.
1 with mayo and lettuce, no cheese.
1 with mayo and cheese.

None that I could eat. But I did not have time to go back. So I grabbed a Milky Way from the car (Midnight Dark Chocolate). Unfortunately, someone startled me and I dropped it after I had unwrapped it.

I decided to try to go without.

Got hungry. Grabbed a Twix. Popped one bar in my mouth. Ended up having to grab something off a shelf about 20 feet in the air. Leaned over to grab it...and watched the other half of my Twix plummet to the ground where it broke my heart...err, broke into pieces.

Ugh.

By the time we finished, it was 5:30 in the morning meaning I had now gone 17 and a half hours on a coke and half a twix.

Meanwhile, I drove a semi for the first time and backed it up, along with a 48' trailer...the first time I have ever backed up a trailer.

Someone who knew what they were doing could have accomplished it in about 30 seconds, took me about 5 minutes. But I got it done and safely.

So now you know why my lack of web presence makes sense and why coherence is not currently a strong suit.

Yikes! How hard is it to make a sandwich?

I hope you sleep more soon!

lol I would say that your day went from bad to worse...it made me cry when the twix hit the ground. Just kidding, I was kind of laughing, but in a "with you" not "at you" sort of way. I think. I hope you read this after you get more than 2 hours of sleep. :)

I would have drove that semi through the wall of the food joint and made my own sandwich. I don't think a single fast food worker would risk their life trying to stop a man who drove a truck INTO the store...

Ok, I talk big. I wouldn't have done that. Actually, I probably would have daydreamed about it and ended up driving the truck into the wall at work. Good job navigating one of those monsters man!
