As I was driving I received a call I needed to take from a friend. As we spoke, it occurred to me we were probably both driving and neither of us had home phones. Actually, most of the people I know have no home phones. Riot Kitty does, my Dad does, and I think one of my brothers does...but mostly, the people I know are all cell phone, all the time, no need for land lines. Internet is handled through satellite or cable.
And it struck me...within my lifetime, if this trend continues...we might not have to look at telephone wires anymore. Wouldn't that make the world a more appealing place?

I never use my home phone - we tried to get rid of it but Verizon claims it would fuck up our internet for weeks and weeks. Fuckers.
