Finally, some progress!

Lately I have been doing research for Dreamcatchers and doing a lot of miniatures painting. As a result, progress on the long-promised trilogy slowed to a crawl. Read "crawl" as "nothing being done".

Well, twice this week I managed to drag my lazy A double money sign out of bed about 4:30 in order to take the max/bus to and from work. This accomplishes several things: it saves money (4.60/day to ride as opposes to about $8-9 to drive), it saves miles on the Mustang, it alleviates a large amount of stress as I don't have to fight traffic, it allows me to inhale the body odor of the unwashed masses and listen to conversations that it amazes me people will have in public.

For example the purple/pink/green haired girl yakking on her cell phone. She said, and I (unfortunately) quote: "Oh, you like it when I put my cold butt on your junk."

NOT something I need to hear. (Mis)quoting Dr. Seuss, "I do not need to hear it here or there, I do not need to hear it anywhere, I do not need to hear it on the bus, I do not need to hear it in a rush, I do not need to hear it on the train, I do not need to hear it in the rain. I do not like hearing that my friend, away from such stupidity I wish myself to send."

Anyhow, along with these marvelous experiences, it does something else; it gives me nearly 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening. Time. Precious, precious time.

As a result, twice this week I have, *drum roll please*, worked on the trilogy. I have taken it up over the 200 page mark. I am making progress again and making good progress. I like the direction it has headed and am excited.

Of course, I don't want to just blow off the progress I am making on Dreamcatchers and, in fact, found several useful sources yesterday at the library.

So basically, yeah, I am just saying, hey, I am excited to be finding a place to work on the trilogy again. I rock.
