Hear that siren? No? Then pull over.

As an apparently natural born cynic, I have little regard for the integrity of cops. I mistrust them just as much as I mistrust the Congress to actually protect and care for their constituents even at risk of harm to their own career...which is to say, not at all.

As such, I am amused on almost a daily basis by watching cops speeding, running red lights (or at best not stopping for yellow lights when they clearly could), turning without signaling, and a host of other offenses.

But I have never seen one ticketed for these things.

Nor have I seen one stopped from chasing a car thief for speeding, allowing the criminal get away.

Now, here we finally have an example of a smart criminal. If he had come to me for my proffered service, I certainly would NOT have recommended stealing a car in front of a cop. But if he simply MUST be out nipping cars in front of cops for whatever dark psychological need that fulfills then make sure that either A) the following officer executes his nincompoopery and fails to turn on his siren, thus getting stopped for speeding during his pursuit of you, letting you get away or B) you clip the wires to his siren, thus achieving the same result.

No word yet on why the officers thought the cop was speeding but the robber was okay...
