"Domestic disturbance", the polite phrase to talk about adults who never learned the arts of self-discipline or mature conflict resolution, are more and more common. We live in an age where children are "disciplined" through raised voices and empty threats. As a result, couples often cannot figure out how to resolve inevitable disagreements. So they resort to shouting and, lacking discipline, sometimes that in turn escalates to elbow biting, spitting, and so forth.

So then they must react to the arrest. There are several ways to go about it. One would be to quietly, pay your fine, maybe serve a day or two in jail and have to go to some worthless counseling session. The other would be to wipe your nose on the cop and be accused of officer battery...
