Without getting too much into the issue...

The New York Sun is not the premiere news paper in New York. This is not hard to understand when you consider the understanding their editors have of word definitions. Take, for instance, the very basic difference between these two words:

"rights"; the concept that people cannot be prevented from performance of certain activities

"rites" a ritual or ceremony

So one wonders what Elizabeth Edwards (John Edward's wife) is supporting when, according to the aforementioned New York Sun, she is reported to support gay rites.
