I have to admit I have never really understood the concept of a bachelor party, at least the way that most (?) people do it. "Okay, once we are married there will be no going out with the boys, no strippers, etc.". Okay...if those things are important to you then why are you getting married? And if they are wrong for you to do after the wedding then why are they not wrong now? My answer, of course, is they are wrong...
Then again, I am blessed with a woman who not only does not object to my "vices" (playing poker, watching movies, hanging out with my friends and family) she actively encourages me to do them. So maybe it is not fair to ask me.
Or take the case of Jason Wilson and Emma Thompson. One assumes she did not object to him drinking since, just a few months before their August wedding, she was out on the town with him as he drank. About the only thing they disagreed on was how many drinks were enough. He thought one more would do it, she decided he was done. He had one more so she did the only thing she could. She loaded everything he owned into a van owned by the company he worked for and drove it off a pier.
Hard to believe they canceled the wedding, isn't it?
