When is rape funny?

Alexander David Cross was in jail on suspicion of rape. It was statutory...he was 42, she was 15. They got it on three times over the period in question. So off to jail he went. And there something disturbing was discovered about Cross.

You would think it was his aversion to showers. The first day...no shower. The second day...no shower. By about the 6th day he was getting pretty ripe, but...well...no shower. By day 10 the authorities had enough. Cross was forced to take a shower.

And it was then that accused rapist Cross gave them a revelation that had eluded them during the investigation, during discussions with the "victim" (I put it in quotes because she was a willing partner, just underage), during the exchange from civilian clothes to prisoner garb, and during ten days of incarceration. What was the discovery?

Alexander David Cross was not his real name. Of course, his is not the correct designation...you see, he is actually a she, Elaine Ann Cross.

Yep. Took the geniuses 10 showerless days to figure out the person they theoretically searched when they arrested him/her, saw when s/he changed into prison clothes was a different gender.

Ironically, that meant her sentence (after she pled guilty) now meant no jail time...compare that to all the other adults found guilty of statutory rape and the sentences they served...hmm....

between that result and them taking 10 days to figure it out my faith in our justice system has been restored.
