A must read

Different cultures respond to different events in different ways. Yes, that is so obvious that it is a "well, duh" sentence but it is still worth including and thinking about.

There is a tour I recommend people take. It involves riding the Columbia River Gorge Sternwheeler and listening to the commentary. When you do so you see the dam that generates most of the electricity in this area. It is strange how the changing view of nuclear power (Oh, we wrong...it actually IS cleaner and safer and less environmentally damaging...) is also causing a reassesment of other means of electric production.

But in some cases it is just about the end of a way of life and a pain that never goes away.
