It isn't so much that this report felt the need to put quotation marks around words like "hit" and "blunt"...as if that were slang that nobody knows or something...it isn't so much that the story is about a young person doing something stupid, imbibing too much alcohol and marijuana and being rushed to the hospital.
No, what makes this an example of great reporting comes from this line:
Cooper, 21, who was the yellow piece
Perhaps I am just not inquisitive enough...but what relevance did the color of the piece she was playing have to do with anything? Well done.
