You can bet I think this is stupid

In no way, shape or form am I a gambler. I am not a risk taker, I tend to play everything safe. You will never catch me laying out my hard earned cash on a lottery ticket, you will not see me giving it away in poker games or at the dog tracks, not at the slot machines in Vegas or even any of the keno things at the Indian Casinos.
I think poorly of the decisions when people choose to gamble. Not simply because of my own unwillingness to gamble but for other reasons as well. With that said, this still miffs me.
Not that I think people aren't hurt by gambling...they are. And that is the good AND bad of our country. We have the right to hurt ourselves. We can consume fast food, we can smoke, drink, take medications with harmful side-effects (including doctor administered chemo therapy), we can pig out on popcorn and soda pop, we can ignore education, and yes...we can gamble.
We can gamble legally with private citizens in several states (casinos) with "sovereign but dependant nations" at so-called Indian Casinos, and government sanctioned with state and interstate lotteries. But if someone is making money off gambling and they haven't figured out how to tax it of course they will arrest people. Stupid government. I bet this one brings more problems.!
