Of hot air...no, actually, have you ever considered the physical implications of the classic question, "Is the glass half empty or half full?"? Neither answer is actually correct...or even possible.
You see, if a glass has a certain capacity, say...4 cubic inches...those inches are always full. Sometimes they contain liquid (or solids, in the case of college students who have not yet mastered the concepts of cleaning) and sometimes they do not. Yet, the truth is, even when a glass LOOKS empty...it isn't.
Here on earth, we have this thing called air". It is everywhere. You can't escape it, even if you try. Well, I suppose you could wrap a plastic bag around yourself and seal it off, but that might not be healthy. In fact, that step might be....wait for it...in excess. ***
So you now understand that optimists and pessimists are also inaccuratists. The glass is neither half empty nor half full. It is completely full, much like I am. Of what is yet to be determined.
*** note: this "subtle" uhm..."joke" is much funnier if you know how the lead singer of INXS died

How do we know that the glass even exists, say, if it falls into a black hole? ;)
