Congratulations, Emily

Yesterday the training for her upcoming marathon was the farthest she had ever run...15-1/2 miles. Today she followed up by running the Run Hit Wonder. Not only did she do the 10K back to back with the 15-1/2, she finished. Going in she was thinking about doing just the half, but when it came to it...she did the entire thing.
If you have never trained for a marathon, typically the day after your "long run" is a rest day. It gives your body a chance to heal, and concurrently repair the damage done by pushing past your previous limits. Doing another relatively long run is usually something best left to world class athletes. It is extremely difficult.
I am again, as always, impressed with her drive and motivation. Doing that back to back is something to be admired. Great job, Emily, I am proud of you. Looking forward to watching your progress towards the marathon.
